Prezi, just as many other widely used software, requires some basic training before one gets familiar with it. In order to avoid common failures with presentations, you must start with the basics, and the guidelines. It is common to try things out without putting much attention to the necessary procedures, and if this happens, you should get SHOT. Getting shot in this case is an acronym meaning Stopped, Helped, or Trained. Ideally, Prezi for beginners is about helping the beginners and training them to produce acceptable presentations.

As a new user, you are constantly bombarded with the huge freedom in your hands. You have freedom to go up and down, go left and right, and even in and out. It is easy to get confused and try everything at once resulting in a disastrous product. You get a presentation that is swinging left and right, in and out and the animations that are random. There are several tips for the beginners, and some of them are discussed below.

There are several tips to consider, however, the basic ones are there to help the beginners focus on the four pillars of presentation, and these include the message and the structure as the most important ones.

The second step is to get a plan. If possible, start by planning in PowerPoint before proceeding to Prezi. With this freedom, it can be tricky, and it is very easy to be overwhelmed. However, if you take the procedure used in planning the movie, it can be possible. Planning for a movie involves taking one step at a time, creating one scene after the other, and there is a lot to do with trial and error.

With the new approach, also consider having a working plan. Well, you can consider using PowerPoint for planning purposes. Too much freedom for creativity can be overwhelming, and a paper plan or a plan on PowerPoint can help you know what to do after what. If you consider it as the process of movie making, then you get to understand that each scene is planned on its own and then shot before proceeding to the next scene. The same concept is required in this case.

It is necessary to understand what really constitutes a good Prezi. The answer is simple; the presentation is only fantastic if it explains a given topic in a simple and clear manner so that it is hard to forget. This sounds simple, but unless you are able to focus on the logic structure of the presentation, you will not be able to achieve it.

If you are aware of the fact that a presentation is only successful if it is able to explain the topic is a manner that is simple, unique and unforgettable, and then you can visualize what really make a good Prezi. In order to achieve this, you have to use a logic structure in your presentation. The symbols used too should be relevant and well known by the audience. Lastly, try to use symbols as much as possible and reduce the use of words. It is often difficult to strike the balance between simplicity and uniqueness, but this is what is required.

The members of the audience who are sensitive should be considered and fast moving or fast rotating objects should be avoided. This means that as the beginner, you learn how to make proper transitions between different slides in a manner that is gentle and calm.
