My hubby and I talked about home security prior to transferring to our present residence. I had been traumatized as a teenager when a couple of guys had invaded our home and carted off valuable items. Bart knew it was essential to our relationship that I be made to feel protected inside the house.
Now that we've got a larger residential home, Brad is pleased someone had suggested to us the HomeSafe wireless house security system. This is an inexpensive answer to securing your house, or even office, which does not need a technology genius to run.
A major draw for my husband was the system's ability to allow you to preset phone numbers for this to dial automatically when it picks up activity within the area being secured. Should someone open a door or window, this would trigger an alarm into going off and the base unit into contacting those pre-programmed numbers to alert the owner to unauthorized entry.
Our cord less security system included a base unit, a wireless window/door sensor, a motion sensor and remote control having a panic feature for arming or disarming the system. This is meant to work just with telephones that have tone dialing.
Five telephone numbers can be programmed in. The moment the alarm is triggered, the device is going to get in touch with the first phone number on the list. If the telephone call is answered, a pre-recorded alert message will come on.
Brad said I could do one of three things if the telephone call went through my number. I could first listen to what was going on in the room, or broadcast my own voice using the base system in the hopes this would frighten the intruder off. In case I felt there was no real emergency, I could turn off the alarm.
The 105dB alarm is ear-piercing enough to have a person scurrying off to escape from the noise.
When the call to the first phone number isn't picked up, the home security system dials the subsequent telephone number listed, and so forth until the alarm system is disarmed.
