"Do you know how you can look for concealed microphones?" Stan asked me. I raised my eyebrow at the query, however my own close friend looked dead serious. I never imagined Stan was the type to become bugged, but then what do I know? It is more desirable to be safe than sorry.

A bug sensor was the solution to Stan's problem. This is a counter-surveillance system that can sense covert video cameras or microphones. "Why do you consider someone else has you bugged?" I asked Stan. My close friend was taking care of something sensitive, and felt he was getting watched.

Two times, he was followed - one, towards a lunch meeting, and the other, from work towards his own house. Now, he felt there was a bug in all places. I made a decision to contact my brother, Ed, that knows concerning these stuff. He suggested that Stan purchase a lens finder bug detector.

It is a handy, pocket-sized tool that may be used to sweep an area you think to be bugged, just like the vehicle, a room or even a public area. This uses laser frequency technology to check for either wired or wire free cams. The bug tracker works within a 10-foot range, and if this picks up a video camera lens, a red light will flash.

For audio bugs, changing to radio frequency mode can help validate the presence of a recording unit. Stan spent no time getting the spy video camera detector, and the two of us started inside his office. Wow. The LED indicator was moving as the gadget swept over his telephone. Strike one.

At the parking area, we made use of the viewing port initially and checked if the laser would pick up any lens. It was negative thus Stan turned to RF mode. He nearly dropped the bug finder due to the vibration. Strike two.

Stan mentioned he'd perform this himself the moment he got home, and later reported a third bug was found. We contacted Ed for a recommendation of somebody to get rid of the spy equipment.

My good friend is sure grateful for learning how to detect hidden microphones and also cams in the event that there's a next time.
